It is important to level and process the terrain first<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to be able to build paths so that they do not bend and are easy to pass, it is recommended to level the terrain if it is not flat. You can do this with a hoe. Once leveled, the terrain should be well trodden.<\/p>\n

If the place where you will lay the paths is overgrown with grass, you must clean the terrain from it. Then ryegrass seeds can be easily planted in the joints between the already laid slabs to grow grass, which will freshen them up.<\/p>\n

Laying a layer of sand and gravel<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to achieve greater stability of the stone slab paths, it is better to apply a layer of sand or gravel mixed with clay soil. This layer has another function – it will provide sufficient depth for the penetration of the roots of herbaceous plants. For even better leveling, apply a thin layer of sand only.<\/p>\n

The choice of stone slabs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stone slabs are a strong material, characterized by high resistance to weather conditions. With gneiss from Valmarg Stone, especially with polygonal slabs, you will achieve the ancient look of stone paths in Bulgarian houses<\/a> and you will be able to choose from both colors of gneiss to suit the overall environment and your preferences. To make walking easier, especially if there are young children and elderly, choose smaller slabs.  <\/p>\n

Arrange the plates so that the face side is up. You can roughly group the polygonal tiles, but in the process of laying you may need to rearrange them to achieve a better shape and more convenience. It is important to spend enough time for the arrangement, so you will ensure comfort for walking on the paths. Individual slabs should not protrude above the general level. Then, when the grass between them sprouts and reaches a great height, you will have to mow it, and the different level of the tiles will make it difficult.<\/p>\n

The joints between the stone slabs<\/strong><\/p>\n

We recommend that you leave joints between the tiles with a maximum width of 10 cm. Wider joints will make it difficult to walk on the paths.<\/p>\n

Pour soil into the joints to 2\/3 of the depth and sow the grass seeds. It is good to add fertilizer to nourish. Water regularly.<\/p>\n

Cleaning the grass joints<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the good condition of the joints you need to clean them regularly from plant debris and dirt. You can easily clean them with a metal broom. <\/p>\n

In addition to grass, the joint can be sown with seeds of low-stemmed covering flowers, herbs or spices. The effect is astounding!<\/p>\n

If the whole yard is grassed<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to be able to visually separate the paths from the rest of the yard, you need to put curbs. For gneiss slab walkways, a curb of small pieces of gneiss, bones or pavers is suitable. They are easy to arrange and will form a spectacular border.<\/p>\n
